This morning we did not have to be up for work as early as the other days and we only had the Peel Beach races to attend to in the late afternoon. This gave us a chance to have a nice relaxed breakfast and cup of Tea without having to rush to get to work for a change. We headed to the local town to have a look around before we needed to be back to get ready to leave for the beach race.
We arrived and the sun was still beaming although it was so cold as we were standing front on the beach front in fact we were on the sand in our maxxis dresses!
They asked us if we would do the start board on the sand for each race. They were only short laps and both MX bikes and Quads raced but in separate races. It was so different from anything we had attended as it was racing on the beach. They dug out the sand to make it flat and then placed the sand in a few heaps around the area giving the riders a chance to jump over it etc. Once the races were finished, we then went in to the sailing club building to present the riders with their prizes.
Usually the club owners themselves would do this but as we were there (as they don’t usually have girls) we thought this would be a nice gesture :) They didn’t seem to mind either LOL.
So another event over and as usual we were thinking about food! In the evening we were taken out for a lovely Chinese in Peel which was right by the boats.
